JESUS sees THROUGH us

Hebrews 4:13

King James Version

13 Neither is there any creature

that is not manifest in his sight:

but all things are naked and opened

unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

Do you resent the fact JESUS knows us?

That He sees through our hearts?

That He knows our intentions?

That He knows the end, from the beginning?

That He knows everything we are?

As born again, I actually relish the fact.

It makes me smile, when people try to hide who they are.

How can they?

I really get a laugh out of that one.

JESUS knows ALL our goings-on.

There's no hiding from the LORD.

JESUS knows our thoughts.

He said so Himself:

Matthew 15:19-20

King James Version

19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts,

murders, adulteries, fornications,

thefts, false witness, blasphemies:

20 These are the things which defile a man:

but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.

In fact, here are THREE instances where JESUS read man's thoughts:

Matthew 9:1-8

King James Version

9 And he entered into a ship,

and passed over, and came into his own city.

2 And, behold,

they brought to him a man sick of the palsy,

lying on a bed:

and Jesus seeing their faith

said unto the sick of the palsy;

Son, be of good cheer;

thy sins be forgiven thee.

3 And, behold,

certain of the scribes said within themselves,

This man blasphemeth.

4 And Jesus knowing their thoughts said,

Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?

5 For whether is easier, to say,

Thy sins be forgiven thee;

or to say, Arise, and walk?

6 But that ye may know that the Son of man

hath power on earth to forgive sins,

(then saith he to the sick of the palsy,)

Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.

7 And he arose, and departed to his house.

8 But when the multitudes saw it,

they marvelled, and glorified God,

which had given such power unto men.

Luke 6:6-11

King James Version

6 And it came to pass also on another sabbath,

that he entered into the synagogue and taught:

and there was a man whose right hand was withered.

7 And the scribes and Pharisees watched him,

whether he would heal on the sabbath day;

that they might find an accusation against him.

8 But he knew their thoughts,

and said to the man which had the withered hand,

Rise up, and stand forth in the midst.

And he arose and stood forth.

9 Then said Jesus unto them,

I will ask you one thing;

Is it lawful on the sabbath days

to do good, or to do evil?

to save life, or to destroy it?

10 And looking round about upon them all,

he said unto the man,

Stretch forth thy hand. And he did so:

and his hand was restored whole as the other.

11 And they were filled with madness;

and communed one with another

what they might do to Jesus.

John 2:23-25

King James Version

23 Now when he was in Jerusalem

at the passover, in the feast day,

many believed in his name,

when they saw the miracles which he did.

24 But Jesus did not commit himself unto them,

because he knew all men,

25 And needed not that any should testify of man:

for he knew what was in man.

In my country, we have a contemporary word.

For man's reaction to the LORD's miracles.

And to the fact He heals on a sabbath.

The word we have for it is:

"tameme"

(sound like a goat, and you've got it)

Meaning, "speechless".

Even "dumbfounded".

Don't you love the way JESUS confounds us all?

That delights my childlike heart no end.

He does the unexpected.

The unthought of.

The unheard of.

And leaves our mouths hanging open.

I really have a good laugh with that.

JESUS also tells us GOD knows what we need.

Before we even ask Him.

Matthew 6:7-8

King James Version

7 But when ye pray,

use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do:

for they think that they shall be heard

for their much speaking.

8 Be not ye therefore like unto them:

for your Father knoweth

what things ye have need of,

before ye ask him.

Don't you love being transparent with the LORD?

If you have nothing to hide, you won't mind.

He also predestined us for things.

How can He not know what we're about?

Have fellowship with the LORD.

You have no idea what you're missing.

Lots of laughter, for one.
